Faye to miss Golden Melody Awards due to health situation

27 Jun – Taiwanese singer Faye (Chan Wen-Ting) is saddened to announce that she will not be able to participate in the upcoming 2022 Golden Melody Awards.

In a statement released on social media, the former F.I.R. member revealed that she has been tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to remain in quarantine in accordance with the pandemic prevention regulations.

This also means that she will not be able to attend the ceremony, which will be held on 2 July.

Her agency, AsiaMuse stated, "Faye is very sorry to not being able to participate in the prestigious Chinese music event in person, and she is very saddened about it. She is also deeply sorry to the organiser and fans who support her, and also thank everybody for their understanding."

The company also added that Faye will be watching the awards ceremony from the comfort of her own home.

It is noted that the singer has been nominated Best Mandarin Album, Producer of the Year and Best Female Mandarin Singer, for her album, "Faye, Wen Ting Zhan Zai Yun Cai Shang Tiao Wu Ji Ji Zha Zha".
