Kathy Carter, who this week was named CEO of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic organizing committee, said the Games will be both fiscally sound and leave a lasting impact on the host city. Carter told Reuters the "no build" Games will utilize the city's wide array of existing sports facilities and will cost about $6.9 billion, spending that will be offset by revenues from sponsorships, ticket sales and other sources. A garbage truck driver was amazed to see two zebras taking up both sides of a two-lane road in Seymour, Wisconsin, after the animals escaped from a home in the area on September 14, TV station WBAY reported.This video captured by David Haupt shows the zebras strolling down the roadway in Seymour, about 20 miles west of Green Bay,The animals escaped from a local property in the area and their owners rounded them up and got them home within 40 minutes of Haupt’s sighting, according to reports.In a statement to Storyful, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson sergeant Nathan Borman said, “The two zebras wandered the area nearby and were walking down a county highway when a garbage truck driver came upon them. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - - The U.S. State Department has approved a potential agreement covering up to $500 million in military support services for Saudi Arabia, and has sent the agreement to Congress for review, the Pentagon said on Thursday. It was the first major defense agreement for Saudi Arabia sent to Congress since President Joe Biden took office on Jan. 20. The package would provide continued maintenance support services for a wide range of helicopters, including a future fleet of CH-47D Chinook helicopters.

The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron has delayed announcing a venue for the 37th America’s Cup so it can further study offshore bids and a late attempt by a Kiwi businessman to keep the regatta in Auckland. The RNZYS, along with its racing team, Emirates Team New Zealand, was due to announce the venue on Friday. “For the benefit of both the 37th America’s Cup and the eventual host venue, we would rather allow some more time now so we make the right decision as opposed to a rushed decision,” yacht squadron commodore Aaron Young said.
