Last week, Home Town star Erin Napier opened up about the harsh comments she received after sharing a now-deleted photo on Instagram of the back of her daughter Helen's head.

While it's unclear what the photo depicted that set folks off (as the HGTV star was quick to remove it!), Napier revealed in a follow-up Instagram post recapping the situation that "there were cruel comments within moments." She noted that people were saying hurtful things about her three-year-old daughter's hair, as well as criticizing the family's actions regarding the pandemic.

"As if from a tiny vignette you can see the whole picture of precaution and how we wear ourselves out keeping our family safe every day, the endless testing, while trying not to sacrifice every last shred of normalcy, when it’s as safe as it can possibly be," she wrote.

While comments were turned off on Napier's Instagram post about the incident, fans penned some supportive tweets in response to the news.

Twitter user @lmullins32954 wrote: "I think Helen is beautiful. The need to be cruel by some people will always amaze me. I don't even try to rationalize it anymore. Negative comments come from miserable people, you're a lovely family. Ignore stupid."

Echoing that sentiment, @Bluenoser1000 reminded Napier that comments made in spite come from a much deeper place.

Meanwhile, @Dana48038879 couldn't even fathom how others could be so vicious when it came to a child's hair.

Moreover, @rdqspridgen reiterated the classic saying about when to keep to yourself.

Although none of these tweets tagged Napier's Twitter account, we do hope she sees them. As for now, the designer mama hopes that the haters will abstain from her page. "If you feel you may be a person capable of communicating this way, please see yourself away from my account or I’ll be glad to help you do that," she wrote.
