Fans in Melbourne Cheer as Socceroos Score in World Cup Match Against France

Australian soccer fans gathered at Melbourne’s Federation Square at the break of dawn on November 23 to watch the Socceroos play against France in their first match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

This footage, filmed by Instagram user @kennethdoan95, shows a sea of fans cheering and clapping as Australia scored a goal against France.

Other footage posted online shows Australian fans swarming two French fans, throwing food and water bottles at them. According to reports security guards were called in to break up the scuffle.
