Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was jeered and booed by fans attending a spring training game against the St Louis Cardinals in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday, March 1.
Altuve has been criticized by baseball fans for winning the 2017 MVP Award in the same year that the Astros were discovered using on-field cameras to steal signs.
Footage shared to Twitter by a St Louis Cardinals fan account shows Altuve on the receiving end of boos as he steps up to the plate at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
Since then, the team fired Manager AJ Hinch and General Manager Jeff Luhnow in January, and were fined $5 million and docked several top draft picks for the scheme.
