Family stuck in Kabul airport appeal via Instagram

Afghan-American citizen Faranaz Zazai had traveled from the U.S. to Kabul a month ago with her baby daughter and father so that her Afghan husband could see his child for the first time.

What was supposed to be a joyful family reunion took a surprising turn after the U.S. forces' withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban's quick seizure of control in the country.

Originally planning to head back to the U.S. on September 8, Zazai, her husband, father and daughter had to rush to Kabul airport a week ago following the Taliban takeover, where they have been living in dire conditions ever since.

They have been appealing for government support over Instagram.
