The Hungarian family sailing away from lockdown
They left their lives behind in June 2020
and have since made their way around Italy and Spain,
stopped for some time on Cape Verde and crossed the Atlantic
(SOUNDBITE) (Hungarian) IT WORKER, DOMONKOS BOSZE, SAYING:
"For me it is fantastic that I can spend a lot more time with my kids, instead of getting home late from work totally exhausted, and not having time to play or eat with them."
The boat carries a month's worth of provisions
and they catch fresh fish and other seafood
while the girls do remote learning
(SOUNDBITE) (Hungarian) MOTHER, ANNA DEMECKY, SAYING:
"We saw dolphins jumping at the front of the boat and swimming with us, with the sea totally calm, smooth like a mirror so we could see them clearly under the water. That was gorgeous. It was early morning when we sailed towards Palermo, it was like a dream."
