Falling Tree Crushes Car on Atlanta Highway

A tree fell onto Interstate 285 in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 6, crushing a passing car, Dunwoody Police said.

“Thankfully no serious injuries,” Dunwoody Police said in a tweet with photos showing the crushed vehicle and debris.

News reports said “several lanes” of the highway were shut down while emergency responders cleared the debris.

Severe weather downed trees and caused flooding in areas across metro Atlanta on Thursday, local reports said.
