Extinction Rebellion Protesters Crowd London Streets

Thousands of protesters crowded London’s Trafalgar Square on the morning of August 23 as part of an Extinction Rebellion demonstration.

Twitter user @OldStreetJoe posted this footage showing Trafalgar Square during the opening ceremony of the “Impossible Rebellion” event, which led to disruption across the city.

According to The Guardian, activists went on to block a busy junction in Covent Garden by chaining themselves to a roundabout.
