New exhibit puts 2020-era art on display in NYC

STORY: Brightly colored street art from 2020

is on display at this New York City exhibit

It’s called ‘Wood You March’

The pieces are designed on plywood

and are a reminder of the boarded-up stores

seen in New York during the health crisis

Art from the Black Lives Matter

movement is front and center

(Optimo NYC, Exhibition curator)

“It is a 2020 based art show, art on the pandemic, Black Lives Matter, you know, peaceful protest, you know, people expressing themselves and so on plywood at that time. So I wanted to kind of bring that feel back to show people what it looked like on the streets, but in a gallery setting.”
