The filmer, named Cristian, told Newsflare: "My parents and I were house hunting in the summer where the temperatures were nearly triple digits and the humidity at nearly 60%.
"Upon leaving the neighborhood, my father saw an indigo bunting that was sitting in front of an incomplete house.
"It was barely moving, and when it would stumble and seem like it was going to trip.
"My father grew up around animals from a very young age, so he was familiar with the situation.
"He had a water bottle and poured some into the cap, and held it steady in front of the bird.
"It slowly drank and eventually was able to hop away."
