The Real Housewives of Potomac's Gizelle Bryant has exclusively opened up to Digital Spy about the "extremely shocking" altercation airing later this season.
The fifth season of the hayu and Bravo reality show opened with a flash forward to panicked Housewives and crew members frantically trying to separate Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard in the middle of a physical altercation.
Police would later get involved, though second-degree assault charges against both Monique and Candiace were subsequently dropped prior to RHOP airing returning this month.
Though it remains to be seen exactly what caused the former friends to physically fight, Gizelle made her allegiances known in our chat by referencing someone shouting "Monique!" in the middle of the row (viewable in the trailer above).
"Well you did hear the trailer, and in the trailer, everybody was screaming one person's name. So, there's that," she slyly said. "It was really, for me, extremely shocking and just disturbing. I never thought that we would be in a position where two ladies had an altercation.
"I felt like we're bigger than this, and we're better than this, and this should have never happened."
Another flash forward in the season five trailer — which seemingly takes place after the brawl — sees the group confronting a tearful Monique, and the Housewife admits "maybe I don't want to be a part of this anymore".
Asked if she felt Monique still deserved her spot as a Housewife next season, Gizelle told us: "I don't hire and I don't fire.
"I can't really speak to that, but I do know that I am still disturbed by her behaviour."
