The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey has set the record straight over whether viewers will actually see her wedding in season 13.

The Bravo and Hayu reality show kicks off this weekend for a season that documents Bailey and husband Mike Hill planning their wedding during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

RHOA producers were all set to film Cynthia and Mike's wedding up until days before it took place on October 10, but ultimately had to pull out at the last minute due to logistical issues.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Cynthia confirmed that footage from the nuptials will still make it into the new episodes – while also looking back on the monumental stress of tying the knot during a global health crisis.

"You guys will get to see the wedding," she said. "Bravo was not able to film it, in the end, which I knew was always a possibility, with me planning the wedding during a pandemic.

"Although we did everything on our end, in terms of following all of the COVID-19 rules and regulations and precautions. Mike and I really wanted to stick to our date, regardless because that was just what we wanted to do, whether the show was able to film it or not.

"We did everything on our end, and kinda toward closer to the wedding, they had to pull out and realised that they weren't able to film it themselves. We had a hurricane that week, so we had to move the wedding from outdoors to back indoors. It was just a lot of moving parts. I've never been so stressed out in my life, and so happy to see a wedding be over! And it was my own wedding. I slept very well that night."

The couple ultimately chose to use their private videographer to document the wedding ceremony and reception, so Bravo and Hayu can show viewers "whatever they choose to use" from that footage.

Viewers previously saw Cynthia tie the knot to former husband Peter Thomas in the third season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but so much has changed in the supermodel's life in the last decade.

"The biggest difference was probably me. I'm different," she noted. "I'm older, I'm wiser. I'm just at a different point in my life. I'm a much more whole person. Not only do I know what I want, I know what I don't want. That part… So, with that said, I'm just in a great space in my life.

"When I got divorced, I was just entering my 50th birthday. That was such a great milestone for me. Such a great time for me to really just go back to Cynthia, just get into me, and what my purpose was, how I wanted to live the rest of my life. I'm different. I didn't know I was going to get married again. I wasn't looking for a husband. I was always on a quest for love.

"Always love and peace, always that. But however that looked. It didn't have to be in a husband package. It didn't have to be in a marriage package… I feel very grateful that I was not only able to find love again, but… that God led me to Mike. You guys will get to see the rest of my journey with him being a part of my journey."

One guest who, unfortunately, was not in attendance for Cynthia's October wedding was former best friend NeNe Leakes, since she left The Real Housewives of Atlanta earlier in the year.
