Exclusive: Hollyoaks' Juliet Nightingale to be arrested in new storyline

From Digital Spy

Hollyoaks will be releasing an exciting new trailer today (February 28) – and we can reveal a first look at one of the storylines featured.

Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) will be among the characters taking centre stage in the promo, as shock footage sees her locked up in a police cell.

Viewers know that Juliet is currently playing a central role in Hollyoaks' County Lines drug dealing storyline, as she's being manipulated by newcomer Jordan Price.

Jordan (Connor Calland) has already brought Juliet on board to deal drugs for him and future episodes will see her drawn further into his dark world.

However, with Hollyoaks' new trailer showing a tearful Juliet in police custody, it seems that her involvement in criminal activity could have major consequences.

County Lines refers to drug gangs from big cities, who exploit young people and vulnerable adults in order to expand their activities into smaller towns and villages.

The story will be running on Hollyoaks for the rest of the year, culminating in a shock death in December.

Hollyoaks' trailer will also tease a number of other big storylines due to hit our screens in the coming weeks.

These will include gangster Liam Donovan organising a "devil's dinner party" to bring his enemies together in a violent showdown.

Liam's masterplan includes kidnapping John Paul McQueen in order to lure James Nightingale to The Loft, where the fateful meeting is due to happen.

Hollyoaks will release the new trailer at 5pm today.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.

The Children's Society, which supports children affected by criminal exploitation, is advising Hollyoaks writers and cast members on the storyline. For more information, visit the charity's county lines webpage.
