Excitable Dog Greets 'Sister Cat' Returning Home from Vet

An anxious dog struggled to contain his excitement as his ‘sister cat’ returned home from a visit to the vet, viral TikTok video shows.

Pet owner Vanessa Daves-Poarch captured the adorable moment her five-year-old rescue dog, Toto, wagged his tail enthusiastically as her rescue cat on Swiftie’s arrival.

Daves-Poarch said Toto was “so concerned” after Swiftie left the house that he began whining at the door when he saw her husband’s car pull back into the driveway.

Speaking to Storyful, Daves-Poarch said she and her husband rescued Swiftie from a sewer drain about a year earlier. The cat “immediately bonded” with Toto after they welcomed her into their home in Alexandria, Virginia, she said.

“Toto is a little anxious because he is a rescue, but Swiftie has helped him mellow out a bit,” Daves-Poarch said. “They play together every day so that’s why Toto chased her when she got out of the bag,” she added. Credit: Vanessa Daves-Poarch via Storyful

- Oh, yes, [INAUDIBLE]. That's my sister cat.

VANESSA DAVES-POARCH: He literally started whining the moment you pull in the driveway.

- OK let her-- OK, she just shots, baby. Yes, I know you're so excited. Oh, you love sister. Oh, you love sister so much. I know it's a little much, OK? Come on, sweet pea. I don't think she wants to leave. Give her some space, you nincompoop.

VANESSA DAVES-POARCH: Baby, she can't play right now.
