Former Home and Away star Sam Atwell has undergone quite the transformation since his days on the Australian soap.
The actor, who famously played villain Kane Phillips on the long-running series from 2001 to 2009, recently starred in the Irish soap's festive special, introduced as a character known by the nickname 'Barbie Man'.
And in the episode, Atwell revealed his image transformation, having abandoned the clean-shaven look that Home and Away fans will remember.
The star has posted a whole bunch of selfies that showcase his new beard in all its bushy glory on the social media site, but it wasn't until he made his Fair City debut that the actor's new look caught viewers' attention.
Speaking of his character in the Christmas episode to The Irish Sun, Atwell explained: "He is an Australian BBQ chef, who wears a kind of cowboy hat.
"The Collins' are doing an unorthodox Christmas and so the boys have hired a BBQ chef to cook outside, which kind of helps as well because the way our cast works, some people are inside so that was a nice way to have the lunch outside.
"So he comes and cooks them a BBQ and ends up cooking a barbeque for everyone and singing a song with Bob."
As for whether we'll be seeing his character again, Atwell added: "For now he's just appearing at Christmas, as a Christmas character but with Fair City you just never know what might happen in the future."
While this marks Atwell's first time on-screen in Fair City, he's no stranger to Carrigstown, having spent the last six years working behind the scenes directing and overseeing scripts.
Home and Away airs on Channel 5 in the UK. Fair City is broadcast on RTÉ One in Ireland.
