Ex BBC chairman: 'One of the worst chapters in BBC history'

Former BBC chairman Lord Grade has condemned the BBC's handling of its Princess Diana Panorama interview as "one of the worst chapters" in the broadcaster's history. It comes after a report found that journalist Martin Bashir was in "serious breach" of the BBC's producer guidelines when he faked bank statements and showed them to Diana's brother Earl Spencer, to gain access to the princess in 1995.
