Industry on BBC and HBO is the series we never knew we needed until we were deep into the final episode wondering why we were rooting for the characters to not mess up their final presentation at the big investment bank they'd been interning at for the last year.
While we were admittedly quite clueless when it came to the financial side of the series (RiF, anyone?), we could definitely get behind the rest of it, which is why confirmation of a second season is excellent news. Here's everything we know about Industry season 2:
*Major Industry season 1 spoilers*
Who will star in Industry season 2?
The first season ended with Harper (Myha’la Herrold), Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey) and Gus (David Jonsson) finding out their fate at Pierpoint. Will they be handed a full time contract or have they failed to impress the big bosses? We know Harper has secured her spot after backstabbing her boss, so she will definitely be back for a second season. But what about the rest?
We can also safely assume Eric (Ken Leung) will be back in the pivotal management role, and Greg (Ben Lloyd-Hughes) will also return if he makes a recovery following the events at the scandalous Pierpoint Christmas party.
What will Industry season 2 be about?
We imagine the second season will pick up right where season 1 left off, so we'll find out who is still at Pierpoint and see how their new roles, romances and lives outside the office progress... So buckle up for more debauchery and double-crossings!
What did Eric say about his client's wife?
Eight episodes in, we still hadn't found out what Eric said about Felim Bichan's wife. When Harper straight up asked him what he said, Eric laughed it off and presumably pretended not to know. Maybe we'll finally find out in season 2?
When will Industry season 2 be on TV?
The second series was confirmed by HBO in December, with Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming, sharing: "It’s exciting to see fans embrace these young graduates, and we join them in anticipation of what’s in store for season two. We also send a big thanks to our partners at Bad Wolf and BBC."
They didn't reveal a release date, but we can probably expect the second season to drop on HBO and the BBC sometime in 2022.
