  • Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell got married in March 2020.

  • Almost a year later, the couple is expecting their first child.

  • They commemorated a special moment from Bindi's childhood with the sweetest throwback recreation on Instagram.

Nearly a year after tying the knot, Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell are expecting their first child, a baby girl.

The couple first announced the news with the most fitting photo-op on Instagram back in August.

“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” she captioned the post. “Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light.”

Thinking that was just about as cute as it could get for the down-under couple, fans weren’t ready for the precious throwback that Bindi posted on her account on Thursday, January 14. The photo in question? A recreation of a photo of her dad, Steve Irwin, kissing her mom’s belly when she was pregnant with Bindi’s brother, Robert.

“Recreating a very special moment. Third trimester love,” Bindi captioned the post.

Naturally, fans of the Irwin family have been flocking to the comments section to share all their feels.

“Be right back, I’m crying now,” one Instagram user wrote, followed by a series of hearts.

“Don’t make me cry over here,” another chimed in.

“I’m not crying, you are,” another added while tagging friends.

“How sweet! I know that your dad would be more than proud of you and your Ohana for all that you do and have accomplished! Aloha from the 808,” someone else wrote.

And the love and well wishes just keep trickling in. We can't wait to meet Bindi's little one!
