Eva Mendes Says She's a 'Grateful Mama' That Media Chose Not to Show Her Daughters' Faces at 2024 Olympics

Eva Mendes enjoyed some family time at the 2024 Paris Olympics — on her own terms.

On Tuesday, Aug. 6, the actress, 50, shared a photo from Paris, France on her Instagram as she attended the Olympics with her longtime partner Ryan Gosling, 43, and their two daughters, Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 8.

In her caption, Mendes wrote that she was happy to share a selfie in Paris, since "the minute I see photographers when I'm out, my guard and my wall goes up."

Her comment section was filled with followers discussing how public the Olympics are, with one writing, "Unfortunately the Olympics [are] pretty high profile and they are on the look out for celebrities. Hope you gt to a place soon that you can go and just be a regular old family hanging out together ❤️."

Mendes responded to the user, saying, "They were great about not posing the kids so I'm a grateful mama bear. Thx for a loving comment. Sending it right back! ❤️."

Another wrote that they were happy Mendes and her family were able to enjoy the Olympics. "Yes! We did! Thank you!" Mendes responded. "And I love @nbcolympics didn't cut away to the kids! And most sites blurred their faces so mama bear is happy about that."

On Sunday, Aug. 4, Gosling and Mendes were spotted watching the Summer Olympics during a rare public outing. The famous couple checked out the dressage individual Grand Prix freestyle at the Chateau de Versailles before catching the women's uneven bars final at Bercy Stadium.

During the Olympic day out, Mendes and Gosling both wore sunglasses and head coverings to shield from the sun during the equestrian event. The couple were also joined by their daughters during their gymnastics outing.
