We can hardly believe our eyes: Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling were just spotted out together publicly for the first time in years at the Paris Olympics. And that's not all. As an extra bonus, their two daughters— Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 8—joined their parents for the occasion.

On Sunday, the longtime couple made a rare joint appearance in the stands with their kids at the women's uneven bars final at Bercy Stadium. Attempting to go unnoticed, Mendes and Gosling each wore their sunglasses indoors, with the actress opting for a large white shield-style pair and the Barbie star sporting ones with transparent rims. Gosling also added to his disguise with a green hat embroidered with white Olympic rings on the front while finishing off his look with a plaid button-down and a white T-shirt underneath.

For her part, Mendes wore a high-neck black dress and a smattering of rings, and styled her caramel-colored hair in voluminous waves that were swept to one side.

Mendes and Gosling, who first met while filming The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011, have always made an effort to keep both their relationship and their children out of the spotlight. Back in 2020, Mendes explained why she doesn't post her family on social media in response to a fan's question on Instagram.

“I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids,” she said. “I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life. And since my children are still so little and don’t understand what posting their image really means, I don’t have their consent. And I won’t post their image until they’re old enough to give me consent.”

She continued: “As far as Ryan and I, it just works for us this way, To stay private.”
