Eva Amurri Shares Wedding Planning Update Ahead of Nuptials to Ian Hock: 'We're Getting So Close'
Amurri and fiancé Ian Hock — who got engaged in February 2023 — are set to tie the knot this June
Eva Amurri is deep into her wedding planning!
The 38-year-old actress has shared an update on her lifestyle website, Happily Eva After, detailing how the preparations for her upcoming June 2024 nuptials to fiancé Ian Hock are coming along.
"It’s officially the year that Ian and I are getting married!" she began her lengthy message, which she titled, "Wedding Update: 6 Months Away."
"When we got engaged last February, it felt like planning a wedding for the following summer was just SO far away. Now, we’re getting so close, and those butterflies are starting up again," she continued.
Amurri — who is the daughter of actress Susan Sarandon and director Franco Amurri — went on to remind her followers that she and Hock, who is a chef, are not using a wedding planner.
"I’ve been putting all of this together, and while it has been very hectic and stressful at times, it has also been really fun to design every aspect of the wedding myself," she noted, before sharing that she has her first dress fitting in a few weeks and that she's still searching for the perfect wedding shoes and looks for the couple's rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch.

Amurri also wrote that Hock and her sons — she shares Mateo Antoni, 3, and Major James, 7, as well as daughter Marlowe Mae, 9, with ex-husband Kyle Martino — will be wearing suits by Suit Shop.
"I can’t wait to show you guys what we’re scheming up for their wedding weekend LEWKS," she said. "There is literally nothing cuter than a little boy in a suit, I’ll tell you that."
As for Marlowe, she and her mom will soon be sharing a special pre-wedding moment. "She’ll be getting her dress tailored at the same appointment when I’ll be altering mine," Amurri wrote. "I really am looking forward to having that memory together."
In addition to finalizing all of the wedding fashions, Amurri and Hock have also locked in their reception menu following a tasting with their caterer. The food is going to be absolutely delicious at this wedding, which was definitely a priority for both of us," she wrote, adding, "I’m so excited to start printing up menus and other reception paper goods."
Other details on Amurri's wedding to-do list include figuring out her bridal glam. She revealed that she plans to do her own hair and makeup on the big day, and is "on the hunt for the best foundation and other products that will hold up all day in the June heat."

She and Hock are also working closely with their officiant to choreograph their ceremony, including special ways to involve Mateo, Major and Marlowe. "Our officiant is really skilled at crafting unique ceremonies, and she also has some beautiful ideas for making the kids really central in our ceremony," she wrote.
Amurri's wedding update comes after she recently celebrated her bachelorette weekend in New Orleans with a group of close friends.
"We had a really fun, retro glam night out on the town at the Ritz Carlton New Orleans, which is such a vibe in the best way possible!" she told PEOPLE earlier this month.
"It was absolutely incredible to celebrate this new love with the most amazing and supportive friends who have been by my side through a wild few years," she added. "But it was also really wonderful to have a few days with my girls just laughing, dancing and eating all the best food NOLA has to offer."
She also said she is savoring every moment of her wedding journey with Hock.
"After going through a divorce, and finding love afterwards, I don't take any of this for granted — and there were quite a few toasts with happy tears throughout the weekend," she told PEOPLE.
