Europe must coordinate COVID response: Macron

Speaking alongside Estonian Prime Minister Juri Ratas on Wednesday (October 28) , Macron said countries should be in close coordination to avoid closing borders again.

EU countries are set to meet on Thursday (October 29) to discuss their COVID-19 strategy, as Europe again becomes the world's epicentre of the pandemic and possibility of new lockdowns loom.

Macron is set to deliver a televised address on Wednesday night to announce a new series of restrictions as new infection figures have climbed to record numbers in recent days.
