Essex County OPP arrest 2, including 1 previously wanted Canada-wide, in Leamington home invasion

Two people, including one man previously wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, have been arrested in connection with a Leamington home invasion earlier this year.

According to Essex County OPP, officers responded to a Talbot Street home on Feb. 24 for a report that three people forced their way into a home and assaulted two occupants.

Police say two people suffered minor injuries and investigators determined it was a targeted incident.

On Tuesday, police arrested two people were arrested at a home in Maidstone.

A 46-year-old man was arrested, as well as 31-year-old Nicholas McCullough.

Both were kept in custody pending a bail appearance on Thursday in Windsor.

Police are still looking for a third person related to this incident.

The investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with information to contact the OPP.
In March, McCullough appeared on a list of suspects wanted on Canada-wide warrants.

He had been serving parole in the community on a six-year sentence for convictions of aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited weapon and discharging a firearm with intent.

He was also wanted by Windsor police on assault charges that have yet to be proven in court.

In late April, Windsor police said McCullough was located in London and brought back to Windsor to face charges related to a home invasion in the city's east end.
