Escaped Goat Leads Officers on Chase in Indiana

A lost farm animal led police on a wild goat chase around a backyard in Cumberland, Indiana, before it was detained “for questioning” on Thursday, July 14, officials said.

The footage, published on Facebook by the Cumberland Metropolitan Police Department, shows one officer make several attempts to catch the speedy animal as it tries to escape the fenced yard to no avail. Officer Crooke and an officer from Marion County Animal Care and Control eventually managed to corner the goat and “detain” it, according to the post.

“Thankfully, the goat was not injured and just happened to be lost,” wrote the police department on Facebook.
