Er, Meghan Is Reportedly Super Pissed About the Queen Not Letting Her Use the Word “Royal” Anymore
The queen banned Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from using the word “royal” in their branding.
Meghan is reportedly upset about it and told friends that she “has no room in her life for naysayers.”
Yikes, guys: It seems like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are more pissed about the “royal” word usage thing than they’re letting on.
For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about, Meg and Harry fully expected to still use the word “royal” in their branding even after stepping down from the royal fam. While they gave up using their royal titles (although they still technically have them), they still made their brand “Sussex Royal” and filed to trademark the term.
The queen was not down with that though and banned Harry and Meghan from using the word “royal” in their branding. Meghan and Harry responded by shadily saying that the queen doesn’t have the “jurisdiction” to ban them from using the word overseas but agreed not to use it nonetheless.
However, it sounds like Meghan was really annoyed by this setback. A source tells the Daily Mail that she complained to her “inner circle” about it, saying it “shouldn’t even be an issue in the first place and it’s not like they want to be in the business of selling T-shirts and pencils...She said they know what their true intentions are and that’s all that matters.”
The source also shared that Meghan is totally over the tension with the royal fam, saying, “Meghan said she’s done with the drama and has no room in her life for naysayers, and the same goes for Harry.” They added, “Meghan has told her inner circle that their success is inevitable with or without their current brand name...She said regardless of the name, Harry and Archie have royal blood and no one can take that away. And that as a family, they will always be considered royalty.”
So should be interesting to see what Harry and Meghan change their brand name to!
