Avatar: The Last Airbender is finally here and there's just one question on everyone's mind: just how much does this new version cover? Well you might not be too surprised to hear that there are some changes made as the live-action version comes to life. Of course, not everything is completely different and there's even some special surprises for super fans of the original series who might have been worried that they'd wait a while to meet some of their favorite characters. Ready to find out just how close Netflix's live-action adaptation was to the original?

Here are all the arcs Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series has covered so far compared to the original animated series.

Season 1:

The first season of Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender covers Book 1: Water (or season 1) of the original animated series but also includes pieces from the show's other seasons.

Episode 1 - Aang

Episode 1 of the live-action series covers the first two episodes of the original animated series as well the first half of the third episode, which kicks off Aang's journey with Katara and Sokka. It also adds additional scenes that we not in the original series like how the Air Kingdom was taken down by the Fire Nation.

An Airbender comes to grips with his new reality as war erupts. A century later, a pair of Water Tribe siblings make a discovery that changes everything.

Episode 2 - Warriors

Episode 2 of the live-action series covers the second half of episode 3, which ends the group's time at the Southern Air Temple and brings them over to Kyoshi Island.

Aang, Katara and Sokka arrive at a small island, home to the elite warriors named after Avatar Kyoshi. The Fire Nation gets wind of the Avatar's whereabouts.

Episode 3 - Omashu

Episode 3 of the live-action series covers the group's journey to Omashu, but is also mixed in with Jet's episode from the original series. Haru and Tyro's story has been moved from a small village in the Earth Kingdom to Omashu. The episode also includes new scenes that shows more of Azula in this time of the series, including the introduction of Ty Lee and Mai.

News of a traitor puts the trio at odds in Omashu, where a mechanist and rebels with a charming leader muddle their plans to protect the Earth Kingdom.

Episode 4 - Into the Dark

Episode 4 of the live-action series continues the group's journey in Omashu with the group's storylines with Bumi, Haru, Tyro, and Jet continuing in this episode. It also features sections of Book 2's second episode, "The Cave of Two Lovers," and Book 1's seventh episode, "Winter Solstice, Part 1: The Spirit World." Part of Iroh and Zuko's backstory is added and features nods to Season 2, Episode 7, "Zuko Alone" and episode 15, "The Tales of Ba Sing Se."

In captivity, Aang meets a king with a taste for games. To find their friend, the siblings must navigate a dark tunnel - and put their differences aside.

Animated series episodes: Season 1, Episodes 5 - 7 and 10. Season 2, episodes 2, 7, and 15.

Episode 5 - Spirited Away

Episode 5 of the live-action series brings the group to the Spirit World, but also includes elements of episodes 13 and 20 of season 1 of the animated series. June, who does not appear until episode 15 in the original series, also makes her first appearance here.

When the group lands in the Spirit World for a rescue mission, they come face to face with dangerous threats, painful memories and a mysterious entity.

Episode 6 - Masks

Episode 6 of the live-action series continues the show's Spirit World storyline, but instead o traveling over to the Roku's temple together, Aang travels alone instead as Katara and Sokka remain trapped. This also includes ties into Episode 13, "The Blue Spirit", where instead of Aang trying to find a cure for an illness, he is trying to find a way to bring them back. Zuko's backstory feature the Agni Kai battle is from Episode 12, "The Storm," while Zuko's banishment features elements from Season 3, Episode 13, "The Western Air Temple."

A desperate Aang visits Avatar Roku for help on his journey as the Fire Nation closes in on him. At their fortress, a masked intruder breaks Aang out.

Animated series episodes: Season 1, Episodes 8, 12 - 13, 15 and 20. Season 3, episode 13.

Episode 7 - The North

Episode 7 of the live-action series brings the gaang to the Southern Water Tribe where Aang and Katara hope to learn from a Waterbending master.

As an attack on the Northern Water Tribe looms, Katara challenges a master Waterbender, Sokka meets a princess, and Aang takes Kuruk's words to heart.

Animated series episodes: Season 1, Episodes 18-19.

Episode 8 - Legends

Episode 8 of the live-action series focuses on the big battle in the Southern Water Tribe where Aang, Katara, and Sokka have since traveled to. The episode's final scenes back in the Fire Nation include new scenes that show Azula outside of Omashu, which includes elements of Season 2, Episode 3, "Return to Omashu." The episode also contains elements of Season 1, Episode 8, "Winter Solstice, Part 2: Avatar Roku".

Zhao leads the Fire Nation into the North with a bold plan to weaken the Water Tribe. When the battle takes a dark turn, Aang enters a powerful state.
