Energy crisis: Protesters occupy gas pipeline construction site in Germany
Protesters occupied the construction site of a gas pipeline in Brunsbüttel, Germany, yesterday (November 9). Germany is trying to counter its gas crisis by setting up several LNG gas terminals along its northern coast. A group of protesters entered the construction site and climbed onto heavy machinery. They hung up banners stating “Full throttle into the climate crisis” and “Clean natural gas? A dirty lie". Police took all protesters' IDs. The demonstrators left the site at 4 pm.
