‘It Ends With Us’ Joins Top 10 Titles Consumers Are Most Excited About
What are the entertainment offerings that consumers are most excited about? It’s a question that marketers, distributors, advertisers and media publications are always asking.
ScreenShare, a data partnership between Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, tracks the Top 10 most-mentioned entertainment options every week and whether each has gained or lost momentum compared to the prior week. The chart lives on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” continues its streak at No. 1 and has grossed over a billion dollars globally to become the second-highest-grossing R-rated film behind Warner Bros.’ Joker (2019). The “Paris 2024: Summer Olympic Games,” in its second full week, comes in at No. 2 with an impressive showing from Team USA. As the preseason kicks off, “NFL Football” jumps to No. 3. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” opening in theaters Sept. 6, moves up one spot to No. 4, while “Twisters” rounds out the Top 5.
HBO’s “House of the Dragon” saw an uptick in mentions after its Season 2 finale and lands at No. 6 while “Inside Out 2” comes in at No. 7. Joining the list at No. 8 is the big screen adaption of Colleen Hoover’s novel, “It Ends with Us,” which stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni and is now playing in theaters.
Black Ops is back. The highly anticipated video game “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” rejoins the list at No. 9 more than two months ahead of its release, and “Despicable Me 4,” once again, comes in at No. 10 during the week of its premium digital release.
