Empty Shelves in Philadelphia Supermarket as Coronavirus Cases Rise

Shoppers reported bare shelves and long lines at supermarkets as Philadelphia Mayor James Kenney announced a “Safer-at-Home” order in an effort to fight an increase in coronavirus cases.

The City and Department of Public Health announced new restrictions from November 20, shutting down gyms, rolling back indoor dining, and moving classroom instruction online through the end of January.

This footage shows shelves emptied of toilet paper at a store in Philadelphia on Wednesday.
