The long-running plot has seen murderous Meena, played by Paige Sandhu, bump off a number of Dales characters and cause havoc amongst her neighbours.
But rather than finally seeing her brought to justice in Thursday night's episode of the ITV soap, viewers were frustrated that she wriggled out of facing up to her crimes and fled the village.

Earlier, she had been knocked out by Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) who played the hero by hitting her with a piece of wood after learning that she was responsible for his daughter Leanna's death.
However, the game wasn't quite up for Meena, who managed to hitchhike out of Yorkshire with a lorry driver and was last seen heading for Scotland.
Soap fans voiced their anger that they didn't get to see a satisfying comeuppance scene.
So #emmerdale you've made us wait all week just for Meena to do a runner!?
A 5yr old could do better script writing!

One person tweeted: "So #emmerdale you've made us wait all week just for Meena to do a runner!? A 5yr old could do better script writing!"
Another viewer fumed: "No harm to the writers of emmerdale but that storyline’s a f***ing joke.. how the f*** can manpreet be dead and meena away into the sunset.. will be switching off from now on JOKE."
Someone else added: "Absolutely lost all respect for #Emmerdale. The Meena storyline and finish is absolutely pathetic."
Another viewer tweeted: "Meena gets away with more than Boris Johnson."
Someone else pleaded: "No! Please don't let this be Meena's, exit, @emmerdale! Glasgow is a delightful place but this is not the correct end to the best serial killer in soap history. I was expecting at least another murder or two..."
Meena's crimes have included killing Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker as well as her former best friend Nadine, and she had also been holding her sister Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) and fellow villager Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) captive in a barn.
It looked as though Liam had discovered her actions just in time to put a stop to her, but with slippery Meena now on her way to Glasgow, whether or not she will ever see the inside of a jail cell still isn't certain.
