Emergency Warning Issued as Bushfire Burns Outside Perth

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) in Western Australia issued an emergency warning after a bushfire broke out in Wooroloo, east of Perth, on February 1.

This clip, taken by Scott L Lyall, shows large clouds of smoke billowing into the sky.

Local news said at least one home was destroyed.

The DFES said in their warning that for people east of Bailup Road and west of Toodyay Road it was too late to leave. Others were advised to leave, taking note of road closures. Credit: Scott L Lyall via Storyful
