Emergency Crews Respond Amid Barrage of Missiles in Ashkelon

Houses in Ashkelon and Ashdod were hit, and dozens of people reported wounded, on May 11 as rockets from the Gaza Strip continued to target south Israel.

This footage, released by the emergency services, shows damage in Ashkelon and emergency crews diving for cover as sirens sound.

A spokesman for Hamas said the group fired 137 rockets toward Israel within five minutes, according to Haaretz. The Israel Defense Forces said more than 300 missiles had been fired between May 10 and the early afternoon of May 11.
