Elusive HK screen goddess Maggie Cheung returns to limelight with commercial for US skincare brand (VIDEO)

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 — After fading out of the showbusiness industry in 2004, screen goddess Maggie Cheung has resurfaced with a new advertisement for US skincare brand Olay.

The 59-year-old beauty had been largely elusive following her retirement but in the 3.38 minute clip released on Tuesday, fans were delighted to see how Cheung has been keeping up.

In the clip, Cheung sits in a cafe and writing a letter before she going on to share the letter's content.

YouTube user Augustine Choy commented that knowing Cheung was fine was good enough for him.

Another user Nicole Yeung wrote that Cheung's beauty was natural without needing to go under the knife.

“From the time she joined Miss Hong Kong to now, she had maintained her beauty,” she said, adding that Cheung looked good in any type of clothes.

“She is stylish and far better looking than other actresses who uses heavy makeup.”

Cheung joined Douyin, China’s equivalent of TikTok, last year and had since amassed 632,000 followers.
