Elton John Auctions Iconic Wardrobe Pieces on eBay, Wants Fans to 'Give Them New Life' (Exclusive)

Proceeds from the 10-day online auction in honor of Pride Month will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation

This Pride Month, Elton John is giving fans a special opportunity to own a piece of his legendary wardrobe.

The 77-year-old music icon is partnering with eBay to auction a personal collection of his pre-loved fashion pieces. The "Rocket Man Resale" offers hundreds of pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories from John's archives, including bespoke Gucci jackets, Versace robes, customized Prada loafers, as well as historic concert T-shirts and baseball caps.

“The Rocket Man Resale shop on eBay allows everyone the opportunity to access unique pieces that bring the wow-factor such as my favourite bathrobe designed by my incredibly talented friend, Donatella Versace," John tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Explore my pre-loved collection and give them new life in your own wardrobe. I can't wait to see how you'll make them uniquely yours!”

Even better, every dollar goes to supporting the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s work to end LGBTQ+ stigma.”

In a nod to the Peachtree Road address of Elton’s previous Atlanta home, the items on auction will be offered at a starting bid of $26.60, with a handful of additional items listed at fixed prices. From June 23 through June 30, eBay shoppers also have the option to support the Elton John AIDS Foundation when they checkout on ebay.com.

The Rocket Man Resale begins on Thursday, June 27 at 9 a.m. ET at ebay.com/rocketmanresale.

On June 27 at 1:10 p.m. ET, John and filmmaker David Furnish (along with other special guests) will appear on eBay's Live shopping platform, eBay Live. The auction will be available to shop in-person at the Rocket Man Resale in-store (51 8th Avenue, New York, New York) for one day only on June 27 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
