Elon Musk says Twitter is now 'stable'

STORY: At Tesla's annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas, Musk described work that amounted to "open-heart surgery" in order to keep Twitter afloat and said that he's excited for incoming CEO Linda Yaccarino to start.

"I think Twitter is now in a stable place and obviously very excited to have Linda Yaccarino join," Musk said. "I think Linda's going to do a great job running Twitter."

Yaccarino is the former advertising head of NBCUniversal.

Musk has been under pressure to address Tesla investor concerns about the lack of a clear successor, softening demand and delays of some new models, as well as his involvement in the social media platform he bought in October.
