Ellie Suriaty is fully vaccinated now

13 Jan – After previously saying no to it, actress Ellie Suriaty recently revealed that she has already completed her double doses of COVID-19 vaccination.

The actress, who appeared at the launch of Osman Ali's new movie, "Telaga Suriram", shared that she had the first jab of Sinovac in late October last year, and the second one the next month.

"My husband gave me two years for me to adhere to my principle about not receiving COVID-19 vaccination, but in the end, I complied with his order," she said.

Ellie then stressed that she was never anti-vaccination, but that she would rather take the time to research about it before saying yes.

"If I was anti-vaccine, I wouldn't have taken the BCG and polio vaccines. I was just questioning the fact that the production of the COVID-19 vaccine was too fast compared to the others," she said.

As for her children, 18-year-old Azrell Omar and 13-year-old Nur Azreen Omar who previously made headlines for lodging a police report against being forced to get the jabs in order to attend school, Ellie said that she would never coerce her children.

"It's up to them to decide," she added.
