Elderly veteran trips fleeing robber over to help police catch him in China

An elderly veteran tripped a fleeing robber over to help the police catch him in southern China. Heroic CCTV video filmed in the city of Liuzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on November 19 shows a robber breaking through the police officers' control and running away quickly. A police officer was seen chasing after the robber and another female police officer fell over. An elderly veteran saw the incident and tripped the robber over allowing the male police officer to finally catch him. According to reports, two police officers found a man stealing scooters and were about to arrest him. However, the robber freed himself and ran away. Thanks to the old veteran named Zou, the robber was caught and taken to the police station. The robber named Yao has stolen over 60 scooters and got 2,400 yuan (£282) illegally.
