KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — It was the best Hari Raya Aidiladha legendary rocker Datuk Awie could hope for as he was finally reunited with two of his children after eight years of separation.

The emotional reunion saw the 54-year-old reconcile with his long-lost children, Putra Ahmad Rezzki, 15 and Putri Qasseh Antasha, 13 — his children from second ex-wife Rozana Misbun.

Awie and Rozana, who were married in 2005 and divorced in 2014, also have another son together, Putra Ahmad Merrah, 16, who is currently living with him.

It was Qasseh who first reached out to her dad earlier this year via text message, causing the singer to react with tears of joy.

Awie’s wife Datin Sharifah Ladyana Syed Samsuddin also played a role in making the reunion possible.

“I can’t thank my wife enough for doing a great job in bringing us all together,” said Awie in an interview with Harian Metro.

“She made the arrangements without telling me. She saw my pain and knew what I was praying for.

“She became the go-between person and pulled off a wonderful family reunion in time for Hari Raya Aidiladha.”

His ex-wife Rozana was also part of the celebrations.

Awie uploaded some photos on his Facebook page yesterday (July 2) which showed him happily posing with all of his children.

Besides Rezzki, Qasseh and Merrah, his other children are Putra Ahmad Andeeka, 3, Putri Aleeya Antasha, 23 and Putri Aleefa Antasha, 21.

Aleeya and Aleefa are his two children from his first marriage to singer Arni Nazira while Andeeka is his son with wife Ladyana, whom he married in 2016.
