Egypt Unveils Newly Discovered Sarcophagi and Other Artifacts From Saqqara

Egyptian authorities released details on November 14 of newly discovered sarcophagi and other other ancient artifacts in Saqqara in Giza governorate.

More than 100 wooden coffins and more than 40 statues were discovered in the latest find, which follows the announcement in October of the discovery of 59 coffins in Saqqara.

The most recent discovery came at the same location as the previous 59, authorities said, adding that work was not finished and that they expected to make more discoveries. Credit: Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities via Storyful
