Only few have proven worthy of lifting Thor’s hammer — and Ed Sheeran is one of them!

The singer-songwriter, 32, kicked off his 2023 recap post with a throwback to a fun moment in which he exchanged instruments with the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth.

In the photo, Sheeran and the Marvel star, 40, both held Thor’s hammer Mjölnir as they give the camera an icy stare.

“2023 dump,” the singer captioned his post. “See ya in 2024 have a good one yeah nice one love you.”

The crossover originally happened in February, when Sheeran gifted Hemsworth a guitar in exchange for the on-screen superhero's hammer.

The actor documented the exchange at the time with a video, which he cheekily captioned, "Just an instrumental trade off between two blokes.”

"Ed Sheeran I'll make this guitar sing like no other and you swing that hammer with all your soul,” Hemsworth added. “Love you brother!"

In the video, Sheeran explained that he is “really into trading trade tools for trade tools,” and revealed that Hemsworth was his next target.

Then, the “Perfect” musician gave Hemsworth one of his acoustic stage guitars and, in exchange, the actor gave him the large, shiny weapon — as text reading “WORTHY” appeared over Sheeran’s face.

Both men also signed each other’s “tools” for each other.

Sheeran also joked, “I think we should trade professions,” which Hemsworth seemingly agreed with, playfully shredding on his new instrument.

Hemsworth previously spoke about where his own Mjölnir lives in his home during a 2022 interview with Extra.

"It kind of varies in its location, from the toy box to the mantlepiece," he joked. "It quickly gets taken off there and ends up in the bathroom."

Speaking with Vanity Fair last November, the actor said he's "completely open to" revisiting the popular superhero "if there is something unique and fresh and unexpected to do with the character and the world."

"I've always loved the experience," he added of his time as the on-screen hero. "I've been very thankful I've been able to do something different each time."
