As we head into Waste Reduction Week from Oct. 18 to 24—a week to celebrate our environmental efforts and encourage new ideas for waste reduction— it's important to think about how we contribute to sustaining our environment.
Whether it's reducing the amount of products we buy, or reusing products by washing and recycling, there are simple steps we can all take to reduce our waste and ultimately, help the planet.
I know there are products I can easily swap to more eco-friendly ones and I'm always on the lookout for new brands I can support that are eco-friendly and sustainable. In case you're also looking to make some swaps, scroll through to find some of my favourite eco-friendly day-to-day items.
Look to beeswax wrap for a plastic-free way to keep your food fresh. Made from organic cotton and a blend of beeswax, jojoba oil and tree resin, it can be washed and reused many times.
