Eastern Oklahoma Inundated With Floodwater After Heavy Rain

Severe flooding was experienced outside the town of Vian, Oklahoma, on June 10.

Twitter user John recorded footage driving through the floodwaters on Interstate 40. “Water is officially over the road,” a voice is heard saying.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. “Numerous roads have been flooded in the warned area this morning due to the very heavy overnight rains. Turn Around Don’t Drown!” the weather service said. Credit: John via Storyful
