EastEnders legend Janine Butcher could be back on Albert Square soon, as actor Charlie Brooks has been tipped for a return.

Brooks, 39, first appeared as the Walford villain in 1999, left in 2004 and returned for another stint four years later until 2014.

The character was involved in a number of high-profile storylines, famously pushing husband Barry Evans (Shaun Williamson) off a cliff to his death.

The BBC said it had no comment.
