Multiple agencies joined forces in battling the East Canyon fire in Montezuma County, Colorado, which had burned through more than 2,760 acres by Thursday, June 18, according to officials.
Lightning ignited the fire on June 14, according to a National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) report. The fire dropped from five percent containment to zero as of Thursday, according to local media.
According to reports from CBS Denver, both Aurora and Colorado Springs fire departments sent crews to the fire lines.
