Philadelphia Eagles superfan Ron Dunphy will have quite the story to tell his doctors this week.

Dunphy confirmed on social media Monday night that he injured his knee while giving retired Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce a high-speed belly bump during a pregame celebration before Philadelphia’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Video shared by a fan on social media shows Dunphy and Kelce, 36, squaring up, running and jumping into one another belly-first on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown stage.

“Dunphy! Give me one, Dunphy! C’mon Dunphy!” Kelce screams before he and the Eagles superfan charge at one another and collide — much to the pleasure of Eagles fans surrounding the stage. Dunphy, shirtless and wearing a backwards Eagles cap, stumbles backwards after awkwardly landing, and appears to injure his left knee while celebrating with a group of fans who catch him and keep him upright.

“F--- my whole knee up,” Dunphy later confirmed in a post on X, responding to another fan who asked if he twisted his ankle on the jump.

“So worth it lmao,” he added, appearing to be in good spirits about the injury.

Dunphy later joked: “Say what you want. Yea I got hurt doing a chest bump. But I got higher than Kelce.”

Kelce is in his first year of retirement after walking away from the NFL at the end of last season. The longtime Eagles center and older brother of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce made his debut in the announcer’s booth for ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast last week and returned during this week’s game, joining Joe Buck and Troy Aikman in the third quarter.

Prior to his homecoming in Philadelphia, where Kelce played his entire 13-year career, the retired football star joined fans in pregame festivities, dancing on stage, hyping up the crowd and leaving his mark by slamming into Dunphy.

Kelce’s dance moves during the pregame celebrations quickly went viral on Monday night, as he went into another gear with a high-energy dance sequence while wearing a green tracksuit and dancing to a techno mix of “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” by Tommy Richman.

"I don't know if I have any more energy, guys,” Kelce joked when he finally took a seat at the ESPN pregame desk with co-hosts Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, and Marcus Spears.

Leading up to Kelce’s second week in the broadcast booth, his wife, Kylie Kelce, shared a photo of the two of them joined by their three daughters — Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 19 months — while reflecting on the changes this season.

“Training camp looked a little different this year,” she captioned an Instagram photo of the family of five. “Watching you at the Linc on Monday is going to be a little different too. Just know that the girls and I are loving cheering you on in this new chapter!”
