KUALA PILAH, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Eddin Syazlee Shith today launched a new portal, e-Pilah, to help promote Kuala Pilah as one of the country’s tourist destinations.
Eddin Syazlee, who is also Kuala Pilah MP, said his constituency has many tourist attractions, in terms of food, culture and customs that should be promoted to a wider audience.
“We launch e-Pilah to promote Kuala Pilah and its tourist attractions ‘live’ to the Malaysians as well as the global audience,” he said.
He said this in a press conference after officiating the Kuala Pilah (parliamentary constituency) level ‘Kembara Digital Malaysia’ (KDM) 2019 programme here, which was also attended by the ministry's secretary-general Datuk Suriani Ahmad.
The portal, he said, would also serve as a platform for the residents to obtain the latest information pertaining to the constituency, apart from sharing the history and success stories of Kuala Pilah-natives.
He also added that the portal was created to serve, among others, as a one-stop centre for any social activities carried out by the local population while enhancing the socioeconomic status of the people through business opportunities.
