Spring is just around the corner, and there is one trendy item that is sure to put a spring in our step - quite literally.
Cast your mind back to the balmy days of summer 2020, when our Instagram feed was filled with influencers, bloggers, friends and colleagues wearing dad sandals all summer long.
One pair in particular proved to be hugely popular - Dune’s Lockstockk “dad” sandals.
The strappy sandals first hit stores at the end of May last year but sold out within a week, a spokesperson for the brand confirmed.
The Lockstockk designs were restocked, but were swiftly snapped up by eagle-eyed shoppers once more.
The open toe footwear item was so popular they amassed a waiting list of more than 800 people.
One year on and Dune has brought back the iconic Lockstockk sandals - and in three more colours too.
Buy it: Lockstockk Sandals | £110 from Dune
Why are Dune’s Lockstockk sandals so popular?
The shoe boasts a flatform heel measuring 2cm in height, a textured upper design with double strap fastening, both of which have turnlock closures on top.
The chunky open-toe sandals also have an adjustable heel strap to ensure you have the perfect fit, and can wear the shoes without fear of them sliding off like other sandals.
The Lockstockk sandals originally came in four colours, but now they are available in seven!
Shoppers are spoilt for choice as they can shop the original black raffia, multicolour bouclé, leopard print and black quilted leather, as well as denim, camel and metallic silver hue.
The summer shoe are available in shoe sizes three to eight, but like last year, we predict they will sell out fast.
The highly-coveted shoe is super versatile, as it can be worn for casual outings and running errands paired with trainers, or even with a summer dress.
All designs will retail for £110 from Dune, and we are ready and waiting to take the wardrobe staple to the checkout.
