Duncan Hines and Swiss Miss are both in the Conagra Brands family, and they’ve decided to put the two together in what can only be described as the perfect winter-inspired treat. The only cake you’re going to want to bake this season is this hot cocoa one (and it comes with a matching frosting!).
The new cake mix is made with rich cocoa to be reminiscent of the beloved warm drink, and it just needs to be mixed with three eggs, a cup of water, and a half-cup of vegetable oil to be ready for the oven. Once it’s done baking, you’ll want to top it with the corresponding new Duncan Hines Swiss Miss Creamy Hot Cocoa Frosting. The name says it all, but when the two come together, it’s like you’re eating hot cocoa in cake form. Sounds good to us!
Both the hot cocoa-flavored cake mix and frosting are rolling out at grocers and retailers nationwide this November, a PR rep confirmed to Best Products. The cake mix is $1.99 and the frosting is $2.49. The only thing that could possibly make this cake more ready for the holidays is by topping it with some mini marshmallows and cocoa powder, so it’ll really look hot chocolate!
