Police said they temporarily closed a roadway in Herborn, Germany, to let a family of ducks cross on April 24.
The Central Hesse Police Department said officers discovered the “rather unusual road users” near the junction of the B255 and A45 roadways in Herborn. Police said the family included a mother and six ducklings that looked “frightened and disoriented.”
Police said the B255 was temporarily closed as officers and environmental activists, who were collecting trash in the area, helped escort the ducks across the road safely.
After the cars had come to a stop, the seven ducks “bravely waddled across the lane,” police said on Facebook. Credit: Central Hesse Police Department via Storyful
